String Beans Stir fry

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 sweet onions, chopped
  • 1/2 green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp mushroom seasoning
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, julienne cut
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • scallion, chopped
  • Dried fried onions
  • Corn starch slurry (2 tsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp cold water)

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1.
    Rinse string beans under cold water. Drain and cut into 2" pieces in length.
  2. 2.
    Using a deep non-stick wok, add 1 tsp vegetable oil, bring to hot over medium heat. Add 1/2 tbsp minced garlic and cook until golden brown.

    Add ground turkey to wok. Spread turkey meat and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove meat to a bowl. Set a side.
  4. 4.
    Using same wok, add remain 1 tsp vegetable oil, bring to hot over medium heat. Add remain 1/2 tbsp minced garlic, ginger and cook until golden brown.
  5. 5.
    Add cleaned string beans, onions, mushroom seasoning, sesame oil. Cook with cover on for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6.
    Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, egg, black pepper. Mix well and bring to boil.
  7. 7.
    Add cornstarch slurry. Stir frequently until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and serve while hot. Sprinkle with black pepper, fried onions and chopped scallion.
