Strawberry Trifle

Use eggnog during winter holidays for a seasonal dessert!

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup eggnog (or use 3rd cup of whole milk if eggnog not available)
  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip frozen topping
  • 1 Angel Food cake, cooked
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 3/4 pint whiping cream
  • Powdered sugar to taste
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1.
    Beat pudding with milk, eggnog and Cool Whip on high for 3 minutes. Put in fridge for 30 minutes.

    Cut Angel Food cake into small bite-size pieces.
  3. 3.
    Beat whipping cream with powdered sugar until stiff.
  4. 4.
    Layer 1/2 Angel Food cake, 1/2 pudding, 1/2 strawberry pie filling. Repeat second layer.
  5. 5.
    Top with whipped cream.
  6. 6.
    Garnish with fresh strawberries.

    Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
