INGREDIENTS
- 1 slab of babyback pork ribs
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp chipotle-pepper powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp mushroom seasoning
- 1 tbsp minced onion
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- Hoisin sauce
DIRECTIONS
- Wash pork with cold water. Pad dry with paper towel.
- Using a mixing bowl, mix all ingredients: brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, chipotle-pepper powder, garlic powder, mushroom seasoning, minced onion and minced garlic.
- Rub mixing ingredients onto all sides of pork slab.
- Put pork slab into a large foil baking bag (e.g. Reynolds Hot Bag extra heavy duty foil) and let it sit overnight in refrigerator.
- When ready to cook, preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place foil bag with pork slab into oven and cook for 2 hours.
- Preheat BBQ grill. Remove pork slab from foil bag and grill for 10 minutes on each side at medium-low heat level.
- Cut pork slab into individual rib pieces. Baste lightly ribs with Hoisin sauce. Ready to serve.
