Slow Cooker Beer Pulled Pork

INGREDIENTS
  • 3-4 lbs Pork shoulder butt
  • 1 tsp basil infused sea salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 can of beer (12 oz), malty ale or lager such as brown ale, porter
  • 6 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and cut in quarter pieces

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1.
    Prepare mixture ingredients with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, chili powder. Mix well.
  2. 2.
    Rinse pork over cold water. Pat dry pork with papertowels. Remove excess fat.
  3. 3.
    Using a sharp knife, make deep insertion within pork and press garlic pieces into meat all over.
  4. 4.
    Rub pork all over with mixture from Step 1.
  5. 5.
    Place pork in slow cooker. Pour in 1 can of beer. Cook in medium heat for 4-8 hours. Pull roast apart with forks.

    Add barbeque sauce. Cook for an additional 4 hours. Ready to serve.
