INGREDIENTS
- 2 tsp vegetable oil, divided
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced and divided
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 4 cups white rice or 1 box egg noodles
- 2 scallions, chopped
- Soy sauce to taste
DIRECTIONS
- In a small frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until golden brown. Add mushrooms and sweet onions. Saute for 1-2 minutes and remove from heat. Transfer mushrooms and onion to a bowl. Set aside.
- In same pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until golden brown. Add ground beef and cook for 2-3 minutes. Drain beef.
- Using a deep sauce pan, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, partially cooked hamburg, mushrooms and onions.
- Cook low over medium heat stirring occasionally.
- Add extra sour cream to reach desired consistency.
- Serve over white rice or egg noodles. Sprinkle with scallions and add soy sauce to taste.
