A dipping sauce to serve over fried chicken, fish or Vietnamese lemongrass beef sandwiches.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 large garlic clove, peeled and minced
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup fish sauce
- 2 tsp crushed red pepper
DIRECTIONS
- 1.Using a small bowl, add minced garlic to 1/3 cup of hot water and soak for 5 minutes
- 2.Using a non-stick saucepan, heat over high heat and add sugar. Cook sugar for approximately 30 seconds without burning. Remove pan from heat.
- 3.Add garlic water mixture from Step 1, fish sauce and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
- 4.Place saucepan back over high heat and bring mixture to boil while stir frequently until all sugar dissolved. Remove saucepan from heat to cook before using.
