Breakfast Casserole

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pieces bread, cubed
  • 1 lb sausage meat, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 7 eggs
  • Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 scallions, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1.
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2.
    Butter a 13 x 9 casserole or glass pan.
  3. 3.
    In layers place bread, sausage and cheese.
  4. 4.
    In bowl beat eggs; add milk, Tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over bread, sausage and cheese layer.
  5. 5.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. 6.
    Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
  7. 7.
    Sprinkle with scallions and serve.
  8. 8.
    Optional: substitute bacon for sausage.
