INGREDIENTS
- 1 can (10 3/4 to 11 oz) golden mushroom condensed soup
- 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
- 1 package (1 oz) of Lipton onion soup dry mix
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup water
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven at 350 degrees (F).
- In large bowl, thoroughly mix 1/2 cup of golden mushroom soup, ground beef, egg, Lipton onion dry mix package, onion and Worcestershire. In 12x8 inch baking pan, firmly shape meat into 8x4 inch loaf.
- Bake meat loaf for 1 1/4 hour or until done. Remove meat loaf to platter; keep warm.
- Pour off all but 3 tbsp of drippings from pan (without grease). Stir remaining golden mushroom soup and water into drippings in pan, scraping up brown bits from bottom. Over medium heat, heat soup mixture until hot, stirring constantly. Serve gravy with meat loaf.
