INGREDIENTS
- 6-8 medium apples
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp and 2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 stick butter (8 tbsp)
- Optional: vanilla ice cream
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Wash, peel, core and slice apples. Place in buttered baking dish.
- Mix 2 tbsp cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over apples and lightly toss.
- Blend brown sugar and flour, cut in butter and spread over apples packing down lightly. Sprinkle with 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes until top is browned.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
