INGREDIENTS
- 3-4 lbs Pork shoulder butt
- 1 tsp basil infused sea salt
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 can of beer (12 oz), malty ale or lager such as brown ale, porter
- 6 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and cut in quarter pieces
DIRECTIONS
- Prepare mixture ingredients with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, chili powder. Mix well.
- Rinse pork over cold water. Pat dry pork with papertowels. Remove excess fat.
- Using a sharp knife, make deep insertion within pork and press garlic pieces into meat all over.
- Rub pork all over with mixture from Step 1.
- Place pork in slow cooker. Pour in 1 can of beer. Cook in medium heat for 4-8 hours. Pull roast apart with forks.
- Add barbeque sauce. Cook for an additional 4 hours. Ready to serve.
