Jolly Breakfast Ring

Lisa learned to make this Jolly Breakfast Ring in Home EC class in the 8th grade! A long time favorite!

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 12 cherries
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts & 3 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1.
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. 2.
    Melt butter and put in bottom of 9-inch cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and 1/4 cup nuts. Place cherries in clock-like fashion against edge of pan.

    In small bowl mix sugar, cinnamon and 3 tbsp chopped nuts.
  4. 4.
    In second bowl combine Bisquick and milk. With fork, beat 15 strokes.
  5. 5.
    Shape dough into 12 balls. Roll each ball in melted butter and cinnamon mixture. Place each ball over a cherry.
  6. 6.
    Bake 30 minutes or until a tester comes out dry.
